Worcester care assistant named among UK’s top 10

Caremark, a UK home care provider, has acknowledged Neetindra Singh, who also works in Malvern, as one of the country’s top 10 care assistants in its 2024 ‘The Incredibles’ national awards.

The awards honour the work of care assistants across the UK, with more than 5,000 care assistants considered.

Mr Singh’s commitment to improving his customers’ lives, providing not only professional care but also compassion and kindness, made him a standout candidate according to the awards.

David Balmer, managing director of Caremark Worcester and Malvern Hills, who nominated Mr Singh, said: “We’re thrilled Neetindra has made the finals for this award.

“He consistently puts the wellbeing of his customers at the heart of everything he does.

“This was especially evident with a particular customer who, after suffering an acquired brain injury, was fully reliant on a wheelchair, and it was assumed they wouldn’t improve.

“However, with Neetindra’s encouragement and help with daily exercises this customer was able to walk again – something health professionals thought wasn’t possible.”

Mr Balmer added: “It’s not just this example though – all Neetindra’s customers love him.

“He has such a nice way about him.

“When working with customers in the most challenging of circumstances, he has a way of bringing them onside.”

David Glover, CEO of Caremark, said: “A huge congratulations to Neetindra and our other 2024 ‘Incredibles’ finalists – the nominees for this year’s award are nothing short of remarkable.

“These are people who not only perform their jobs with excellence but do so with a deep sense of empathy and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.”

To celebrate the care assistants, Caremark will host a special event at Fortnum & Mason in London at the end of the month.

The event will provide an opportunity for finalists to network, enjoy an afternoon tea, and be acknowledged for their contributions to the care sector.

The event’s highlight will be the announcement of The Incredible of the Year, a title for the finalist whose work has demonstrated dedication and impact.
