Vodafone UK wins two awards at Mobile Industry Awards 2024

The Mobile Industry Awards celebrates the “best and brightest” of the UK’s mobile industry, including the Power 50, which ranks the most influential individuals working today.

This year saw Vodafone UK walk away with two awards: ‘Innovation of the Year (Product and Service)’ for VOXI’s GenAI chatbot and ‘CSR Initiative of the Year’ for everyone.connected and the partnership with The Trussell Trust.

In terms of individual awards, Aadil Naveed also won Shop Idol, which recognises the nation’s top mobile phone salesperson for their product knowledge and ability to deliver great customer solutions. This marks the third year running that a Vodafone employee has picked up the prestigious award.

The company was also shortlisted for:

  • Best Network for Business – Vodafone Business UK
  • Best Place to Work
  • Campaign of the Year – The Great British Broadband Switch
  • Network of the Year
  • Retailer of the Year
  • Team of the Year – Vodafone Quality team, Vodafone Home Broadband team
  • Best Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) – VOXI Mobile

The Trussell Trust: Telling the stories behind the statistics

As a partner to the Trussell Trust since 2021, Vodafone attended the charity’s ‘Pathways for Change’ event to hear how the anti-poverty charity’s work goes so much further than just the facts and figures.

On top of this, Vodafone UK had no less than eight representatives in the Power 50 rankings, with both Max Taylor, CEO (5) and Andrea Donà, Chief Network Officer & Network Director (8) featuring in the top 10. Other Vodafone leaders who placed included:

  • 12: Jon Shaw, Commercial Operations Director, Vodafone UK
  • 14: Nick Gliddon, Director of Vodafone Business UK
  • 21: Kate Beaumont, Director of Device Operations
  • 27: MG Pecorari, Director of Wholesale & Strategy, Vodafone UK
  • 32: Nicki Lyons, Chief Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Officer, Vodafone UK
  • 38: Rob Winterschladen, Consumer Director, Vodafone UK
