UK’s best staycation spot is city people ‘come back to again and again’ – list

Staycations are a great way to explore different parts of your own country while reducing the cost and stress associated with long-haul holidays.

Recent data shows that over seven in 10 adults are more likely to choose a staycation over a holiday abroad.

With this in mind, credit card brand Aqua looked at the best UK staycation destinations in 2024.

The team analysed accommodation costs, monthly searches, Instagram posts, average rainfall, and average temperature to determine the results.

10. Torquay 

The seaside resort of Torquay in Devon is known for its beautiful beaches including Babbacombe and Oddicombe. The pretty town is located on what has become known as the ‘English Riviera’.
