Transfer news LIVE: Emery wants TWO Chelsea stars after Jhon Duran move ‘agreed’

Cun & get him

A Man Utd legend has urged the club to sign Wolves striker Matheus Cunha.

Erik ten Hag is looking to strengthen his defence as a priority but is also keen on bringing in help up top for 21-year-old Rasmus Hojlund.

And Cunha, who scored 14 goals and grabbed eight assists last term, would be the ideal man.

That is according to ex-United forward Louis Saha, who said: “Every time I see him play, he’s very creative, very powerful, he can break any line, and that kind of skill he’s got is the missing link that United need.

“He’s a player that’s capable of accelerating the game, whether that’s by him passing the ball or dribbling, and he possesses a lot of quality.

“I would not be surprised and I have no doubts that with some stronger players around him, he can be a terrific player.”

LIND LOVE

Everton are allegedly eyeing up Victor Lindelof as a replacement for Jarrad Brantwaite.

Reports have suggested that the Red Devils have agreed terms with the defender but have had a £45m opening bid rejected.

Now a fresh report from HITC has claimed: “Everton have identified potential replacements for English defender Jarrad Branthwaite, who is edging closer to a move to Manchester United.

“One player who the Toffees have targeted in the past is Victor Lindelof, with the Red Devils open to allowing the Swedish defender to leave Old Trafford this summer.

“Lindelof has been in and out of the United team this season but with the club closing in on bringing in Branthwaite to Old Trafford, the former Benfica man may believe the time is right to move on.”

Utd might have to beg and borrow to land Yoro!

Manchester United have reportedly made an opening offer for Lille’s £100million-rated Leny Yoro.

That would be a remarkable development – just 24 hours after the Red Devils are said to have agreed terms with Jarrad Branthwaite.

Everton want at least £70m for the 21-year-old.

So to chase two such expensive centre-backs is a huge sign of intent.

But there’s massive work to be done for even one of the two to join United.
