Top five reasons to attend UK Construction Week Birmingham – Construction Management

UK Construction Week Birmingham returns in October

All-new hubs, co-located expos and high-profile keynote speakers are just some of the highlights for visitors at UK Construction Week (UKCW) when it returns to Birmingham’s NEC from 1-3 October.

Here are just five reasons why you should attend the UK’s biggest event for the built environment:

The Net Zero Hub, sponsored by Reconomy, will make its debut at the October show with a focus on strengthening sustainability in the construction industry. The new area will be partnering with National Retrofit Hub, a non-profit collaborative organisation working with the industry to enable the delivery of housing retrofit across the UK, which will be programming panel discussions across all three days.

In addition, a Net Zero Trail has also been launched to showcase the latest innovations and sustainable practices driving the construction industry toward a net-zero future. Visitors can explore cutting-edge technologies, materials, and methods that are paving the way for environmentally responsible building practices.

Roofing, Cladding & Insulation Expo

Responding to visitor and exhibitor demand, UKCW will welcome a new co-located Roofing, Cladding & Insulation Expo. Showcasing the latest solutions, it is a place to engage in thought leadership and celebrate the roofing, cladding and insulation industry.

Speakers include representatives from Tata Steel Building Systems, Vector Leak Consultants and Wates Construction, and confirmed key partners including the NFRC, Raise the Roof and National Federation of Builders.

Industry professionals will have access to unparalleled networking, face-to-face meetings with high-profile brands

Across the show’s three days, there will be a plethora of educational, insightful and innovative speaker sessions hosted by industry experts and professionals across the many hubs, including the mayors of the West Midlands and East Midlands, Richard Parker and Claire Ward. It will be the first time the mayors have spoken together on stage at an event since they were elected to their respective positions in May.

Co-located with UKCW and making its debut appearance at the show, Onsite On Hire is a new hire industry showcase designed to show the very best tools, compact plant and equipment exhibitors. Confirmed exhibitors include the likes of Genquip Groundhog, Speedy Hire, Solar Hybrid Solutions and GaiaGroup UK.

Industry professionals will have access to unparalleled networking, face-to-face meetings with high-profile brands and knowledge-boosting seminars, workshops and CPD sessions, all of which are now live on the website.

The Birmingham show is complemented by its sister event, UKCW London, which will next take place at London ExCeL, 7-9 May 2025.
