talkSPORT ANNOUNCES ALL-STAR LINEUP FOR THE EUROS – News UK
talkSPORT announces its all-star lineup for the UEFA Euro 2024 – with the network’s top broadcasting talent joined by football legends Emmanuel Petit and Ashley Young to mark the occasion.
talkSPORT, which this week was awarded an Arias Silver for Best Radio Network, will have live commentary of all 51 games in this year’s UEFA European Football Championships, which kicks off in Munich on Friday 14 June.
Watch and listen to Breakfast (6-10am), White & Jordan (10-1pm) and Kick Off (7-10pm) broadcasting live from Germany, taking in the country’s spectacular scenery and even more spectacular scenes on the pitch, as the network delivers 800 hours of Euros content.
Jeff Stelling, Ally McCoist, Alan Brazil, Adrian Durham, Hugh Woozencroft, Natalie Sawyer, Darren Bent, Stuart Pearce, Gabby Agbonlahor will be fronting talkSPORT’s Euros coverage. Former Premier League manager Alan Pardew and Scottish football legend Graeme Souness will also be part of talkSPORT’s coverage from Germany.
Plus, the soon to be departing West Ham manager, David Moyes, joins talkSPORT for the tournament to provide his tactical insights as Scotland and England hope to go deep into the event.
Commentator Jim Proudfoot will be calling the action with Faye Carruthers as the England correspondent, bringing you the latest news from Southgate camp. While Joe Shennan and and former Scotland striker Chris Iwelumo will be delivering games for Steve Clarke’s team with Shebahn Aherne embedded with the squad.
Completing talkSPORT’s epic lineup for the tournament is France and Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit, who’s lifted both the Euros trophy and the World Cup, and England and Everton star Ashley Young who got 39 caps for his country and helped the team reach the World Cup semi-final in 2018 and Euros quarter-final in 2012.
Plus, talkSPORT.com will have you covered online, bringing you breaking news from on the ground in Germany, live blogs of every England and Scotland game, as well as expert analysis, exclusive interviews and feature content.
The Euros will see talkSPORT’s biggest ever social and video team at a major tournament, capturing all the action across multiple cities – bringing the action to digital in a way we haven’t seen before.
Head of talkSPORT Liam Fisher says, “France and England are two of the tournament favourites so to have the tournament experience of Emmanuel Petit and Ashley Young added to our line-up means this will be our biggest event yet. With David Moyes also joining our line up, it will be unbeatable coverage.”
Emmanuel Petit says: “I’ve played for my country at two UEFA European Championships, as well as at two World Cups, so I’m delighted to be joining the talkSPORT lineup for this summer’s tournament. It’s an incredible competition and fantastic to be part of a winning squad once again.”
David Moyes says: “With the distinct lack of Scottish football voices on talkSPORT for the Euros tournament – just the five so far with Ally, Alan, Shebahn, Jim and Graeme in the mix – I’m delighted to be another Scot flying the flag for my home team on the best sports network. The more the merrier, eh?”
Ashley Young says: “ With the European Championships just around the corner , I am delighted to be joining the TalkSport lineup for the upcoming tournament. Having played at the Euros in 2012, now lining up in a different way, I can’t wait! Surely it’s our time”
