See the major UK retailers that allow dogs in their stores
However, there are a growing number of shops allowing dogs inside with The Range being the latest to make this policy change.
Announcing the move, The Range said on Instagram: “We have some pawsome news to share… Our stores are now DOG FRIENDLY 🐶🧡
“That’s right, we’re now welcoming four legged furry shoppers in our 200+ stores nationwide 🙌 & perfect timing!
“Our Pet Event is on in-stores today for you to ‘fetch’ incredible deals across pet supplies! RUN, do not walk!”
If you’re looking for a shop that is dog-friendly, here are some of the places you can go and visit.
The major retailers that are dog-friendly in the UK
These are the major UK retailers that allow pet dogs in their stores, according to the experts over at Caboodle.
Generally, well-behaved dogs properly kept on leads are allowed in the following stores. Most stores will also expect owners to clean up after their furry friends.
- John Lewis – The store became dog-friendly in 2019

- Apple Store
- The Range

- Dobbies
- Supermarket of Dreams
- Fatface
- Mountain Warehouse
- Wren Kitchens
- DFS/Sofology – The brand also carries a range of sofas in dog-friendly fabrics
- Joules
- White Stuff
- Jo Malone
- Oliver Bonas
- Molton Brown
- Mint Velvet – Dog treats are even served at the counter
Hi James, some of our stores do allow dogs inside and of course we always allow service dogs in our stores. I would speak to a manager at your local store to confirm what their policy is.
