Norfolk beach named among UK’s best winter walks

Travel experts at The Times have scoured the country to choose their top seven picks for winter beach walks with a route from Blakeney Harbour to Cley Beach scooping a spot.

The 14-mile walk follows the flood bank along Blakeney Harbour to Cley before picking up the Norfolk Coastal Path.

For anyone making a trip in the coming weeks, the winter months see one of the UK’s biggest grey seal colonies call Blakeney home.

The publication also suggests a stay at The Blakeney Hotel, a family-run 60-room hotel which looks out over the estuary and salt marshes of the National Trust nature reserve.
