Lancaster DJ heading for UK Top 10 singles chart
A Lancaster DJ could achieve a UK Top 10 single with his latest track.
D.O.D, real name Dan O’Donnell, is sitting at number nine in the official midweek singles charts with ‘Somedays’, a collaboration with music producer Sonny Fodera and singer Jazzy.
The final charts will be released later today (September 13).
D.O.D’s friend, Morecambe DJ Matt Thiss, posted on Facebook in support.
“You’ve all supported D.O.D on his incredible journey so far and it’s much appreciated.
“His new track ‘Somedays’ with Sonny Fodera and Jazzy is looking to burst in the TOP 10 of the UK OFFICIAL CHARTS but needs all the local support as well.
“Last time we did this push D.O.D threw a FREE party to say thank you. Something tells me if this hits top 10 then that may just happen again.”
‘Somedays’ has been on the UK chart for six weeks and has so far reached a peak of 14.
In 2023, D.O.D reached number 15 in the UK singles charts with his club anthem ‘So Much In Love’ and number 28 with ‘Won’t Forget You’ alongside Jax, Wroldsen and Blackout CR.

He has also remixed tracks by a who’s who of top music artists including Becky Hill, Ella Henderson and Jess Glynne.
Other local artists to achieve UK Top 10 singles include Lancaster’s John Waite, who reached number nine with ‘Missing You’ in October 1984, and former Ryelands Primary and Lancaster Royal Grammar School pupil Neil Claxton from Mint Royale, who reached number one with their remix of ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ in 2008.
