This included Jeanne Friot, the young French designer, who was responsible for this incredible Joan of Arc tribute.

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton also has a big stamp on the 2024 Olympics. The French fashion house is responsible for the trunk that the Olympic torch was carried in, seen here with artistic director of menswear, Pharrell. The house also made all of the medals in its jewellery maison, as well as the trays that the medals are being carried on (which you may have spotted are covered in Vuitton’s trademark checked print).
Skims
Skims has partnered with Team USA on a collection of underwear, T-shirts, swimsuits and loungewear that the athletes will be wearing during the Games. The campaign launched with names including swimmer Caeleb Dresser, gymnast Sunisa Lee and sprinter Gabby Thomas. Of course, the line is also available to buy. Shop it here.

Labrum London
The official uniforms of the athletes have slowly been rolling out over the past few months on social media, and there have been a few highlights. This includes LFW menswear favourite Labrum London’s designs for Team Sierra Leone, which was created in collaboration with Adidas. “I designed a kit that resonates with us, where we’re from – this is an example of who we are as a nation,” the designer said of the project.
Michel & Amazonka
Another uniform that really got people talking came courtesy of Michel & Amazonka and Team Mongolia. The sustainability-focused couture house created pieces that were inspired by traditional garments, using ancient techniques – and it is no exaggeration to say that these outfits went viral for all the right reasons.

Left On Friday
Another independent fashion label that has jumped at the chance to be an official Olympics outfitter is Left On Friday, an activewear and swimsuit brand which is this year dressing the Canadian volleyball team in some very chic one-shouldered looks.
Telfar
For the second time, Liberian-American designer Telfar Clemens has kitted out Team Liberia. The athletes wore floor length black and white jerseys with mesh sleeves as they arrived by boat to the Opening Ceremony, and impressed everyone watching at home.

Sami Miro
Sami Miro has teamed up with Nike to make bespoke jackets for the US gymnastics team, which they wore when they qualified for the Olympics in June of this year. Miro was a 2023 CFDA Fashion Fund finalist, who has also dressed the likes of Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner, and is known for sourcing and repurposing deadstock and vintage fabrics.
Actively Black
Team Nigeria is this year dressed by the Los Angeles-based brand Actively Black. The label, founded by ex basketball player Lanny Smith, is known for its premium athleisure and sportswear and has put its spin on those iconic Nigerian colours.
“To see a Black-owned brand on the same global stage as Nike and Lululemon and Adidas, it makes everyone start to look at us differently. It’s a major moment for us,” the designer told the New York Times.

Stella Jean

One of social media’s favourite Olympic uniforms this year comes courtesy of Stella Jean who has dressed Team Haiti. The athletes’ impossibly chic Opening Ceremony looks had everyone talking – the men wore pale blue boxy jackets while the women whore skirts printed with the work of Haitian painter Philippe Dodard.
Pandora
Jewellery label Pandora has also caught Olympic fashion fever. The brand has created a special collection of charms that nod to the Olympics, teaming up with two French Olympians, Estelle Mossely, and Sakina Karchaoui, to take part in the campaign. Shop the collection here.

Emporio Armani
Emporio Armani has taken on the task of dressing Team Italy, much to the athletes’ delight. The ensembles include sporty black hoodies with white, red and green touches, which you can buy for yourself.
Ralph Lauren
Returning once again to dress team USA is Ralph Lauren. The fashion house will dress the athletes in a collection that is a nod to American denim – the Opening Ceremony uniform consisted of blue jeans, pinstripe shirts and preppy blazers in navy, red and white. The brand also hosted an event in Paris as the Games kicked off, which saw names including Jessica Chastain, Spike Jones and Jill Biden in attendance.

Athleta
Athleta, which is owned by Gap, is competing with some of the sportswear giants by signing some big names, who will be drawing plenty of attention to the label during the 2024 Olympics. Two of Team USA’s biggest stars, Simone Biles and Katie Ledecky, will be wearing the label – and both have appeared in campaigns for Athleta ahead of the Games.
