Hunt is on to find Britain’s best Sunday roast – here’s how to vote

In its first year, the competition, supported by Koffmann’s Potatoes and Tracklements, is asking diners across the country to nominate their favourite place for a Sunday roast.

The Good Food Guide acknowledges the British public’s shared love for a hearty Sunday roast, but recognises the different preferences that exist.

The Good Food Guide wants to know where diners go to eat the very best, regardless of their personal preferences, whether it’s served at a pub, restaurant, cafe, wine bar, hotel or even a food van.

Elizabeth Carter, co-editor of The Good Food Guide, said: “Every time we read through readers’ feedback to the guide, it strikes us that achieving recognition for the many fantastic Sunday dining places across the country galvanises you.

“A Sunday roast is, by far, your favourite meal.

“Here’s the chance to shine a light on your own favourite Sunday spot.

“And you don’t have to be a roast beef traditionalist – a Sunday roast comes in more than one flavour.

“Remember, the key is somewhere you want to go back to time and time again.”

Nominations for The Good Food Guide’s inaugural Best Sunday Roast awards opened on Wednesday, September 11, and diners have until Wednesday, October 6 to cast their votes at thegoodfoodguide.co.uk/best-sunday-roasts/2024/nominate.

A shortlist of the front-running establishments will be announced in October before Britain’s Best Sunday Roast is crowned at the end of November.

The winning establishment will win a ‘money-can’t-buy prize’ from Koffmann’s Potatoes along with 20 cases of award-winning condiments from Tracklements.
