For Cartmel, it finished as the eighth most Google searched racecourse over the past year, stretching from September 2023 to August 2024.
This saw it finish with a total of 6,490, beating the likes of Doncaster and Chester.
However, it could not remotely compete with Ascot, which was a clear winner with 94,100 searches across the last 12 months, more than 80,000 more than its closest competitor Aintree.
In some of the other categories, the highest average race day attendance was at Cheltenham with 27,192, and the largest increase in visitors between 2013 at 2024 stood at 50% for Warwick.
