Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Latest updates from huge summer at the Emirates
Premier League table predicted
Arsenal will finish second again, according to a supercomputer’s latest prediction.
An AI-powered Opta supercomputer calculated where each team will end up by simulating the Season 10,000 times.
Manchester City have been tipped to win the Prem title for a record fifth consecutive time.
More below:
Arteta’s corner kings
Arsenal’s set-piece prowess looks to be carrying on from last season with signs of some subtle changes.
The Gunners scored 16 times from corners in the Premier League last season – the most out of anyone in the division.
In total, Mikel Arteta’s side found the net from 22 set-pieces – excluding penalties – in the league.
That’s the kind of form that almost won the title as they agonisingly missed out to Manchester City on the final day.
Set-piece coach and expert Nicolas Jover has transformed the North Londoners with his NFL-style routines, both in attack and defence.
And in their final pre-season outing – Sunday’s 2-0 win over Lyon – both goals came from Declan Rice corners via William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes headers in the first half.
But while much is the same, that win also showed that Jover has a few more tricks up his sleeve for Arsenal’s opponents this campaign.
