Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Edu vow, Jorginho contract, Isak, and Sesko linked

Calafiori bid ‘accepted’

A bid of £42million for Riccardo Calafiori has been accepted by Bologna, according to reports.

TuttoMercatoWeb claim the Italian club have come to an agreement with Arsenal for the Italian defender’s signature.

Other reports suggest personal terms have already been agreed.

England’s opponents confirmed

England will face the Netherlands in the Euro 2024 semi-final on Wednesday.

The Three Lions booked their place with a 5-3 win on penalties against Switzerland.

Facing them will be the Dutch, who saw off Turkey 2-1.

Rashford future

Marcus Rashford’s future is up in the air.

Recent reports revealed that Man Utd could be willing to sell the forward.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the England star in the past.

He is set to have talks with Man Utd in the near future.

Williams twist

Marc Cucurella has revealed he is trying to convince Arsenal target Nico Williams to sign for Chelsea.

“He is a great player, he is bringing out all his potential,” Cucurella told Sport. “It is a source of pride that he is on our team, that he is our teammate, and with players like him, everything is easier.

“He would be a great signing [for Barcelona], but it all depends on what he wants. I’ve been telling him to sign for Chelsea… In the end, everything depends on him. He is very young, with a lot of experience. I think he will be a great player.”

Biereth fee

Arsenal are set to receive a £4million fee from the sale of Mika Biereth.

The striker was on loan at Sturm Graz last season, where he scored nine goals and helped the Austrians qualify for the Champions Leauge.

Now they have got a healthy sum for his sale to boost the coffers.

Saka on his pen

Bukayo Saka scored from the spot for England in their shootout win against Switzerland.

Famously, Saka missed in the Euros final against Italy, but that was never going to stop the Arsenal man.

He said: “It was special. Last time we had a penalty shootout at the Euros, we all know what happened”. “I have faith in God to come back from something like that. Today, I took the chance and I’m happy”.
