The University of Aberdeen is the fourth most searched UK Law Schools for LLM degree courses 2023/24.
Postgrad Solutions Ltd, owner of two of the leading global postgraduate education portals LLMstudy.com and Postgrad.com, placed Aberdeen behind the University of Law, University of Edinburgh and Queen Mary, University of London; and ahead of Cambridge in the annual list.
The ranking uses search term frequency, traffic to law school listings from organic searches and the total number of views on each law school’s profile on the LLMstudy.com and Postgrad.com websites over the last 12 months.
With the results gleaned entirely from a postgraduate student perspective, they offer a unique insight into the popularity of law schools and their PG law courses, providing a different approach to some of the more traditional league table rankings.
It comes hot on the heels of the Law School securing a place in a list of the Top 10 LLM Programmes for Energy Law 2024.
Newly published by the LLM Guide, Aberdeen sits alongside the likes of the University of Texas Law School, the University of Houston Law Centre, University of California Berkeley Law and the University of Melbourne Law School.
Head of the Law School, Professor Greg Gordon, said: “Once again we have confirmation of the academic strength of programmes on offer at Aberdeen and how well we benchmark against leading universities across the UK and beyond.
“Post-graduate students coming here will know they will reap the benefits in their future careers of being taught programmes ranked among the best, by outstanding and dedicated academic colleagues.”
Rob Houghton, co-founder of Postgrad Solutions, said: “The results reflect the dynamic and evolving preferences of prospective LLM students. These top-ranked law schools have consistently demonstrated their appeal over the last 12 months, not only through their academic offerings but also through their online presence and engagement.”
