This major UK airport is getting new direct flights to the south of France in 2025

After launching five brand new flights from Birmingham, new routes from Belfast and its longest ever flight from England, easyJet is showing no signs of slowing down. Last month, it announced that it would be introducing a whopping 27 new routes ahead of summer 2025 and now its added six more to its UK repertoire.

Among them is a twice-weekly flight from Birmingham Airport to Bordeaux, south of France’s UNESCO-listed port city and the world’s wine capital. The new route will begin taking off from May 1, 2025.

Ali Gayward, easyJet UK country manager, said: ‘Following another consecutive record summer, easyJet is continuing to grow in the UK next year with more aircraft, enabling us to offer an even greater choice of flights and package holidays for our customers across the country.’

Brum’s airport will also get a new route to Gibraltar, launching on June 1. Both routes will run every Tuesday and Sunday.

Although the flights won’t start operating for another six months, the good news is that you can plan ahead —  they’re on sale right now. Birmingham to Bordeaux fares start from £23.99 one way and to Gibraltar begin at £26.99.

Eyes on the skies

There’s loads more where that came from. Another regional UK airport just got five new cheap holiday routes, this small English airport is launching new daily flights to Amsterdam and Tui is returning to one of the UK’s ‘best’ airports for the first time in 15 years.
