Norfolk beach named among UK’s best winter walks
Travel experts at The Times have scoured the country to choose their top seven picks for winter beach walks with a route from Blakeney Harbour to Cley Beach scooping a spot.
The 14-mile walk follows the flood bank along Blakeney Harbour to Cley before picking up the Norfolk Coastal Path.
Writer Chris Haslam suggests keeping an eye out for the “spoonbills, whimbrels and thousand-strong flocks of pink-footed geese”.

For anyone making a trip in the coming weeks, the winter months see one of the UK’s biggest grey seal colonies call Blakeney home.
However, it is suggested to keep at least 100m to 200m away from animals for anyone who hoping to grab a snap of the seals.
The publication also suggests a stay at The Blakeney Hotel, a family-run 60-room hotel which looks out over the estuary and salt marshes of the National Trust nature reserve.
