Best Amazon Black Friday deals: 8 top tech offers to shop today
Amazon’s Black Friday sale is in full swing
Black Friday is finally here! Amazon is one of the best places to shop for tech during the biggest shopping event of the year but the sheer amount of deals on offer can be overwhelming. That’s why the tech team at Express.co.uk has been scouring the popular retailer’s website to find the best deals out there.
As Black Friday is today, we’ve rounded the eight best outstanding offers ranging from TV to audio and smart home to smartphones should you want to pick up a bargain for yourself or a loved one in the run up to Christmas.
Here are eight superb tech deals from Amazon this Black Friday.
Amazon Echo Pop
NOW £18.99 – SAVE £26
This stunning deal on the helpful Echo Pop speaker is not one to miss this Black Friday. Usually £44.99, getting this smart speaker for £18.99 is one of the best deals we’ve seen. Simply plug it in to the wall and you have a compact speaker you can talk to using Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant.
It can play music, audiobooks and podcasts from various sources such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify. You can also control smart lights and other smart home accessories, if you have them. Although there’s no screen, it can also be used to ask the time, set timers or even wake up alarms if you put it on your bedside table. If you have Eero Wi-Fi routers it can even work as a Wi-Fi extender. Not bad for less than twenty quid.
Nothing Ear (a) wireless earbuds
This is an outstanding price for what is already an affordable set of wireless earbuds. British company Nothing is making some excellent products, and the Ear (a) might be our favourite. They’re riding high at number two in Express.co.uk’s best wireless earbuds chart and offer great sound quality and solid noise cancellation – now for the low price of £69.
You can choose from white, yellow or black and all have a fun transparent design. The charging case is small and well-designed, and there are several tip sizes in the box to get the best fit. If you don’t want to fork out for AirPods, these are the buds to go for.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K
NOW £34.99 – SAVE £25
This is one of the best Fire TV Stick streaming devices Amazon sells, and this is the lowest ever price it has been sold for according to price comparison site Camelcamelcamel. If you have a 4K compatible TV and access to 4K content via services such as Sky or other streaming services you’ll be able to enjoy the best resolution possible.
It also supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision and HDR 10 standards to ensure everything looks and sounds as good as possible. It’s the perfect way to easily stream content to your TV if you don’t have a smart TV or prefer to access your subscriptions through a fast and easy to use HDMI device. It comes with an Alexa voice remote control so you can search with your voice as well as buttons, plus it can control any smart home devices you may have such as lights.
Fitbit Charge 6
This brilliant Fitbit has dropped under £100. It is a slim fitness tracker with more features than you’d expect. We awarded it four-and-a-half stars in our review when we put it through its paces last year.
The Charge 6 tracks your steps, heart rate, calories, sleep and more, plus it has built-in GPS so you can track the routes of your runs or cycles even if you leave your phone at home. It’s fully waterproof for the shower or taking for a swim, plus it has Google Maps and Google Wallet integration so you can get directions on your wrist or pay using contactless.
Apple AirPods Pro 2
NOW £179 – SAVE £229
It’s rare to see a solid discount on any Apple products, let alone the best AirPods, but here we are. These are the latest AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C charging case, offering excellent sound quality, noise cancellation and battery life for those with an iPhone, iPad or Mac. The buds are clever enough to switch between all your Apple gadgets depending on which you’re using, too.
As well as noise cancelling, these AirPods also have transparency and adaptive modes for letting sound in completely and adjusting the noise cancellation depending on your environment. There’s also spatial audio and head tracking for compatible devices and apps to create surround sound effects, and the Pro 2 should soon receive an update that turns them into hearing aids or earplugs for gigs if needed.
Sony WH-1000XM4 Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones
NOW £175 – SAVE £229
These superb noise cancelling wireless headphones from Sony are some of the best we’ve ever tested. In fact, we prefer them to the newer WH-1000XM5 model because these discounted cans fold down for storage and are more comfortable to wear all day thanks to their lightweight build.
Sony’s excellent sound quality really shines here, and if you have a compatible Android phone you can enjoy hi-res streaming. But even if you don’t, or have an iPhone, the normal audio here is still amazing, and you can cocoon yourself with your music or podcasts thanks to noise cancelling that’s good enough to use on planes with no distraction. The headphones charge via USB-C and have an estimated 30 hours battery life.
CMF Phone 1
NOW £169.90 – SAVE £39.10
This is an incredible Android smartphone at this price, one of the best you can get if you want to spend as little as possible. It’s made by UK startup Nothing via its CMF sub-brand that produces quality tech for less.
We’ve tested the CMF Phone 1 and the only thing it’s really missing is NFC, which means you can’t make contactless mobile payments. Other than that, it has a big bright screen, great two-day battery life, a solid main camera and a plastic build that makes it lightweight. You can unscrew the back panel to fit another colour case or grab accessories such as a lanyard and card wallet (all sold separately).
Google Pixel 8 Pro
NOW £499 – SAVE £500
This superb smartphone is down to £499 in a mega half price deal that nets you an incredibly capable device. It has outstanding triple rear cameras, premium build, Google’s awesome Android software and a promise of consistent software updates until 2030.
We rated the Pixel 8 Pro 4.5 out of five in our glowing review, calling it “pure Android bliss” and that remains true despite the existence of the Pixel 9 series. The large pin-sharp display and all-day battery life, along with wireless charging and exclusive software features you’ll only find on a Pixel, make this a top phone buy for Black Friday.
Black Friday itself is Friday 29 November, and though there might be more deals going live on Amazon, the best prices are very likely already up. That’s because Black Friday is now spread by retailers over several weeks in November, with most deals starting early, ending around 2 December this year. Be sure to check the discount the shop is offering is genuine, and think twice before buying. It’s only a good deal if you truly want the item in the first place.
