There’s nothing too spectacular about a regular full moon, since we see one every 28 days, but this month we’ll be able to spot the November Frost Moon in the night’s sky on November 15th, a moon that bears far more impact than you’d probably expect. As we’ve seen with the Hunter Supermoon and the Scorpio Moon, there are ways in which different moons can impact different signs.

“The Frost Moon owes its unique name to the season, as the November full moon, it is often the first full moon to coincide with the first frost,” Honigman tells PS UK, before divulging into the history of the November Frost Moon.

“As temperatures plummet when we go into winter, the name Frost Moon is applied to the full moon in November, also known as the Freezing moon by Native American tribes. Beaver Moon is another known name for it, and the Ancient Celts would have referred to it as the Darkest Depths Moon and the Mourning Moon.”

How Will the Frost Moon Affect Relationships and Friendships?

Honigman candidly reveals that the full moon can always be an interesting time for relationships of all sorts, but since this moon is in Taurus, there’s far more positives, making it the prime time to seize any new dating opportunities.

“Emotions heighten while the moon waxes and they can reach a fever pitch when the moon achieves fullness,” she reveals. “This full moon is in Taurus, which is a stable and warm sign, a good listener and loves to be cosy. This makes the Frost Moon a great night for relationships, when, rather than turning against each other, it becomes the two of you against the world. Single? Use this full moon as the perfect mystical opportunity to start searching.”

Then, for friendships, expect the full moon in Taurus to appreciate stability and loyalty, but not at the hands of ill-treatment. Honigman says: “This full moon is a time to let go of any friends and friend groups who are taking advantage and invest more time and love in the friends who respect and appreciate you. The bright light of the full moon will make it clear to see exactly who in your inner circle will have to be sent packing.”

Taurus

Since the November Frost Moon arrives in Taurus, it’s no surprise that this star sign will be the most impacted by the full moon. Honigman tells us that this stable and balanced sign likes to live life calmly, with no disruptions, but the Frost Moon calls on you to prepare for the future and start adapting, even if it’s not to your liking.

To ease the transition, Honigman says: “Find comfort in thinking of all the things you love about winter — cosy log fires, hot chocolates with marshmallows floating on top, and scarves so huge you might be starring in a 90s British rom-com. Don’t fear the change, you’ve done winter before, and every time before you’ve turned out to enjoy it. A stack of new books and some mood lighting will see you safe through this full moon, and right through the dark season.”

Scorpio

Lucky for Scorpio, there’s some good fortune on the cards during this November Frost Moon. “During this Frost Moon in Taurus, the sun happens to be in Scorpio. This means that Scorpios, the polar opposite of the Taurus moon, will enjoy some good luck at this time,” Honigman explains. “The Full Moon is a great time for manifesting, and Scorpios are quite uncomplicated when it comes to their wishes for winter. A nice new piece of jewellery and a pair of shiny shoes that mean business – manifest those and everything else will just fall into place.”

Aquarius

Don’t think you were going to get off lightly Aquarius! But fear not, the November Frost Moon demands some much needed “you time” this season.

“Your ruling planet Uranus is in the calm sign of Taurus – just like the moon! So during this time, you are fully aligned with the energies of illusion and manifesting which each full moon creates,” Honigman shares.

She adds: “Aquarians can be quite selfless and not take care of their own needs, favouring the needs of others. Since this full moon is in Taurus, which is a self-care sign, it’s calling on you to prioritise yourself for once. Book a spa day or go to the pictures alone – be a little more Taurus without feeling guilty, to celebrate the moon.”
