The UK city where most people hate their jobs and are desperate to quit
A survey has revealed the UK city where most people hate their jobs and the place where Brits are most satisfied with their line of work.
A recent poll by Travel Counsellors found that 50 percent of Brits surveyed want to quit their jobs.
The three main reasons people wanted a change were: better pay and benefits, better work-life balance, and more flexible working hours.
Now, research from Resume.io has used the most commonly searched terms related to quitting a job and then used Google AdWords to analyse which UK cities have the most people wanting to leave their current roles.
The terms the researchers looked for included ‘Resignation letter template’, ‘Quiet Quitting’ and ‘How to leave my job’.
They found that Bristol was the city with the highest percentage of unhappy workers, with 4.12 percent of the population searching for negative search terms.
Meanwhile, Bradford was found to be the place where people were most satisfied with their jobs. Only 1.07 percent of the population searched terms related to quitting their roles.
The research also found that ‘Resignation Letter’ was the most commonly searched term across all UK cities.
‘Resignation Letter template’ was the second term most commonly searched.
While Bristol was found to be the least satisfied, Manchester was next in with 3.95 percent of the city population searching for how to quit their jobs.
In third place was Cambridge, with 3.84 percent of people there searching similar terms, according to the research.
Meanwhile, Newcastle came in fourth while Reading was in fifth. Making up the rest of the top 10 were: Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Portsmouth, and London.
