The two London Bonfire Night displays named the best in the UK you need to go to

The fifth of November has long been a British tradition to mark Guy Fawkes Night and his foiled Gunpowder Plot of 1605.

Every year, towns and cities across the UK host magnificent fireworks displays and huge bonfires to mark the occasion.

London is known for putting on some of the best displays you could witness and now two of them have been named among the best in the UK.

The Telegraph rounded up some of the firework displays in the UK that keep to the centuries-old tradition and are among the best for 2024.

You can see the full list now via the Telegraph.

The two named on the Telegraph’s list were Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival and Battersea Park Fireworks.

Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival

Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival is North London’s biggest Bonfire Night display, hosting a weekend-long event.

This year the event will feature a brand-new drone show before the display, with a huge bonfire and funfair also taking place.

Along with the fireworks, the festival will also host the Cafe De Pally under a big top, with a bar and singalongs, entertainment and live music from a brass band, double basses and choirs.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy some of London’s best street food, cocktails and craft beers at the StrEATlife Village, all soundtracked by The Cuban Brothers and Artful Dodger.

As an add-on for the event, you can pay extra to visit the UK’s largest German beer festival or take a spin around an indoor ice rink to a disco soundtrack.

Alexandra Palace’s Fireworks Festival is taking place across two days, on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2.

Battersea Power Park Fireworks

Battersea Power Park is hosting its firework and Bonfire Night event with a stunning display all orchestrated by the fireworks team behind the annual NYE London Fireworks.

Along with the fireworks, there will be events all around the park, with Charlie Hooper-Williams performing classic music but with a modern twist.

Plus, there will be fun fair rides at Whizzbang Wonderland with the dodgems, waltzers, a Ferris wheel and more.
