A topless England fan dived into a fountain in Frankfurt’s city centre today while crowds of supporters cheered on as they sang ‘Phil Foden‘s On Fire’.
The German city has turned into a sea of red and white as thousands of Three Lions fans descended upon its streets ahead of tonight’s Euros clash against Denmark.
Excited to see their team play their second group stage match at the Frankfurt Arena, fans kicked off their drinking early as they took over the city with their England flags.
Crowds cheered as a topless man stood on the edge of a fountain in the city’s Romerberg Square and led them in singing ‘Phil Foden’s On Fire’ to the tune of Bruce Springsteen‘s hit ‘Dancing In The Dark’ before taking a dive into the water.
It comes after around 2,000 England fans celebrated ahead of the game in Frankfurt’s main city square last night, with videos showing crowds singing in support of Phil Foden.

A video posted on X by Jack Thirlwell showed crowds of England fans in high spirits last night as they sang ‘Phil Foden is on Fire’ in unison while thrusting their fists in the air.
Meanwhile, fans were seen already turning Frankfurt’s Romerberg Square into a England zone this morning as they flooded the area with England flags.
The Prince of Wales is also in Germany today to cheer on the England team.
William, who is president of the FA, will watch Gareth Southgate’s side in their second group stage match at the Frankfurt Arena – the day before his 42nd birthday.
Excited supporters, who had flown out to Germany to watch the much-anticipated match, already had a beer in hand as they basked in the sun ahead of the sporting event.

The square was filled with England fans, old and young, as people were seen selling merchandise including red and white scarves and bucket hats.
Describing the match as a ‘risk game’, police in Frankfurt issued a warning to fans.
It said: ‘We as police in Hessen can so far look back on an absolutely peaceful [police] operation and can draw a completely positive conclusion.
‘The game between Denmark and England in Frankfurt today is a ‘risk game’ which we have intensely prepared for. We have deployed numerous officers in the whole city area for your safety today.
‘We are vigilant to prevent crimes and are determinedly and consistently acting against criminals so that all peaceful fans can enjoy a nice football festival.’

Pictures show fans had taken with them their team’s flags, with one flag reading: ‘Burton-on-Trent, it’s coming home’.
A Wycombe Wanderers flag was also spotted, as was a Bournemouth flag and one representing Bristol.
Tonight’s game will be England’s second match of the group stage, with Gareth Southgate’s team hoping to secure a last-16 spot for the knockout stage.
Pubs in Frankfurt are already packed out by fans as they take the booze in time for the 5pm kick-off – which will see fans in England rushing to head out of the office in time to catch the match.
All eyes are on rising football icon Jude Bellingham after his winning goal in last week’s game against Serbia.

Around two thousand fans descended upon the square last night, the majority of whom were said to have been ‘behaving extremely well’
It comes as the UK Football Policing Unit has said England fans in Germany for Euro 2024 are ‘behaving extremely well’.
While a UKFPU update issued this morning mentioned there had been three arrests, the picture on the whole was a positive one.
‘Around 2,000 England fans were in the main city square in Frankfurt last night (June 19) and no major issues were reported,’ the statement read.
‘This is indicative of what we have seen across Germany so far, with the vast majority of England fans behaving extremely well.
‘Three England fans were arrested by German Police (one for bottle throwing, one for abusing a UK police officer and one for throwing a missile at police and being in possession of drugs).’
Police in Gelsenkirchen praised the ‘level-headed’ behaviour of England fans affected by transport issues getting to and away from their opening match against Serbia last Sunday.
The Free Lions Fan Embassy called for an urgent and thorough review of the transport problems encountered by England supporters, with the team returning to Gelsenkirchen for the last 16 on June 30 if they finish top of Group C.
